Drinking Games
Drinking Chess
Number of players: 2
Setup: Set up the same way as normal chess.
Play: Played the same way as normal chess. If necessary, players should
refamiliarize themselves with the standard rules of chess.
Drinking: When a player loses a piece, she must take the number
of drinks that correspond to the particular piece. The following values are
recommended:
Pawn: 1 drink
Knight: 2 drinks
Bishop: 2 drinks
Rook: 2 drinks
Queen: 3 drinks
King: 4 drinks
When a player is able to advance a pawn to the opposite side of teh board,
two things happen. Not only is the player able to exchange the pawn for a
more powerful piece, she can also tell the other player to take the number
of drinks that correspond to the new piece.
The game ends when the kind is checkmated or when one of the plays is no longer
able or willing to continue drinking.
Variation: Players may add a rule that a player takes two drinks when
his king is in check.
